Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room Position Overview This position is located in a high-acuity, nationally recognized Cardiovascular and Thoracic program. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to circulate in a fast-paced and complex surgical environment, working effectively with a diverse group of surgeons. Strong prior experience in CVOR is essential. Responsibilities Circulate in a variety of cardiovascular cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, robotics (thoracic and cardiac), peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid surgeries, and more. Maintain high standards of care and ensure patient safety during surgical procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of circulating experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). Current certifications including ACLS and BLS. Preferred experience in scrubbing but not required. Ability to adapt to various surgical practices across approximately 25 surgeons. Work Environment This role requires availability for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday coverage as necessary. On-call requirements are included, with a response time of 30 minutes. Scrubs will be provided, and there is a department-specific orientation for new hires. Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies.
